Testimonial:

Recently, my wife, Ginger, and I traveled to Hungary with First Baptist Church to work with Word of Life - Hungary. The original intent of the trip was to teach conversational English to 18 to 35 year old people. Through various circumstances, and God's timing, that didn't happen; but, through it all God showed us we could rely on Him. Ginger and I were reminded even more about the importance of prayer. On the final day of open air evangelism, Ginger had the opportunity to sit on the "sidelines" of the days activities and continually be in a state of prayer. On three previous days of "open air," we (our group overall) had shared the Gospel with hundreds of people. During that time, we saw two professions of faith in Christ! On this final day of "open air," Ginger began praying for God to work even more mightily. "If God can save two; why couldn't He save five?", Ginger thought. So while she, and others prayed for opportunities to share the Gospel, we waited for God's timing. Ginger was able to sit and watch conversations, and actively pray for those conversations; for those unsaved to hear God's plan, and be receptive to His' leading. At the end of the day, Praise God, we saw 10 professions of faith. God showed up, and how!!!

One other item impacted my heart as well. We take for granted our life here in America. We take for granted our lifestyle, our things. Do we ever really consider those around us? Do we take that first step of faith and share the Gospel; or do we invite our friends and neighbors to church and let the pastor preach? This past summer, 2007, Word of Life - Hungary hosted a summer camp in Serbia. Two hundred children attended and played sports, learned basic English, and had fun. One hundred children at that camp accepted Christ! Fifty more re-dedicated their lives to Christ! That is 75% of the children! Less that 1/10th of 1% of the population of the country of Serbia profess to know Christ. Serbia's population is approximately 9.5 million - about the size of New York City. Approximately 7 to 8 thousand people profess Christ as Saviour. That's less that 1 in 1000. One other fact, there are more Christians in the country of Iraq than in the country of Serbia. God is working in a mighty way through Word of Life, and the students/graduates of Word of Life. God has touched our hearts for the people of Serbia.

What are you willing to do for Him??
