How do missionaries get paid?

Missionaries ask churches and other Christians to support them by praying for them and giving to them finanically on a monthly basis. It is important that we faithfully support our missionaries as that is the only income they receive. The cost of living in a different country is sometimes very expensive. The amount of support they have to raise isn't all salary either. They have to consider taxes, expenses, maintenance of equipment, supplies, and much more.
