Missionary Bio:

John began attending church at the age 4 as part of a bus ministry, and was saved at age 6. In 1983 he gave his life to full time service. He got his Bible training at Arizona College of the Bible. During his junior and senior years there he became involved in ministries to Native Americans.

Diane was raised in a Christian home in Michigan and was saved through Child Evangelism at age 5. At age 11 she made sure of her salvation. She went to Bob Jones University for two years. She met John in 1991 and while they were dating he told her he was interested in missions. She told him she knew he was God's will for her life and wherever the Lord led him she was willing to go.

They originally were approved as missionaries through United Indian Missions. However, after a short-term ministry through Baptist Mid-Missions they left United Indian Missions for Baptist Mid-Missions.

The Woods are ministering in Winslow , Arizona , working with an established church planting ministry there.

They are also involved in outreach ministries to the reservation. Winslow has a population of about 8,000, about two-thirds of which is made up of Native Americans. There are about 200,000 Navajo who live on the reservation.
