Dear Prayer Partners,

Thanks for your prayers. Here is my tentative schedule and prayer requests for December.

This week the Lord added another ministry event to my schedule – a trip to take a young lady to visit a Bible school in a neighboring state.  She is from Paranaiba where the missionary has left and therefore the church plant closed in practical terms but there are three young people from there seeking God’s will for them in regards to serving the Lord and attending a Bible seminary to prepare for such.  Please pray for these three young people – Ruben, Fernando, and Juliana.

Praises: Tonight, November 22 at 7pm is a baptismal service. Two young ladies will be baptized-Fabiana and Claudia. This will bring us to a total of 4 new members to our church congregation in the last month. PRAISE the LORD!  (As a side note, I met Claudia some 4-5 years ago when I was doing a Bible study with her sister. Then almost a year and a half ago, Claudia and her husband Edmilson showed up at the church in Campo Grande for a prayer meeting and started attending sporadically, then became regular and now are becoming members.)

Prayer requests for December and Schedule:

Tuesdays (December 1, 15) at 9:00 am, also December 10 at 9am – Discipleship Bible Study with Dayane  Please pray for her spiritual growth and for her to attend church regularly.

Wednesdays (December 2, 9, 16) at 1:30 pm - Bible Study with three 10 year old girls (Amanda, Eduarda and Beatriz)  Please pray for salvation and spiritual growth.

December 8 is the date marked for me to move out of my apartment and put my furniture and stuff into storage.  Please pray for energy for this day, protection and all the details to work out smoothly.  Please pray for wisdom as I sort some things out ahead of time.

December 11 at 7pm is the Ladies Christmas Tea at Baptist Church of the Bible.

December 20 is the Christmas program at Baptist Church of the Bible with the choir presenting a cantata.  This will be the first Christmas cantata by the choir.

December 21 is the date I leave Brazil and travel to the USA for a 6 month furlough.  Please pray for safety as my colleague, Laura and I travel back to the USA. We will arrive on December 22.

December 29 is my parents’ (Lowell and Marilyn Smith) 50th Wedding Anniversary.  It would be so nice if you who know them would send a card or message to them on this special day, their address in Florida is Lowell and Marilyn Smith, Lake Whippoorwill KOA, 12345 Narcoossee Rd., Orlando,  FL  32832 or their e-mail is SmithAO@hotmail.com.  Thank you!

I would also like to make a trip out to the San Francisco Ranch in the Pantanal to give out presents to the children of the workers at this ranch in an evangelistic effort.  Please pray that this contact along with the past contacts could lead to a Bible study out there in my next term of service.
