Missionary Bio:

Lynell was saved at the age of seven at a Child Evangelism Fellowship Good News Club held in her home. Through her parents' encouragement and godly example as well as various church ministries she grew spiritually. When she was in the ninth grade, she dedicated her life to full-time Christian service at an AWANA camp in Canada . During high school, she had the opportunity to serve as a summer missionary with Child Evangelism Fellowship for three summers, teaching 5-Day Clubs. This experience helped her realize that God wanted her to be a missionary.

She attended Cedarville College where she majored in Bible with a missions emphasis and a minor in church education. During her time in college she had many opportunities to serve the Lord, including serving as an AWANA leader, and ministering in music as a part of the Cedarville Symphonic Band and Brass Choir.

During a summer break from college, she participated in a mission internship through ABWE's MAP program to Peru , South America . Through this experience, God confirmed in her heart that He wanted her on the mission field. She was appointed by ABWE as a missionary to Brazil in July of 1990 and arrived on the field in November of 1993.

She served in Belo Horizonte from November 1993-July 2001. In Belo Horizonte , her main ministry as a church-planting assistant was working directly with a church and either with one missionary couple or with a Brazilian pastor and his wife. The other ministries in which I have been involved include Camp Ministries, AWANA, and mission teams coordinator.

In January 2002, she moved from Belo Horizonte in the Southeast region of Brazil to Campo Grande , a city with a population of 700,000, in the West Central region of Brazil . There she joined a team of two missionary couples and one single lady missionary to be involved in a pioneer work in this region. The ministry God has given her is to assist in various ways in the church planting and church strengthening ministries through evangelism, discipleship, ministry to children, youth, and women.
