Missionary Bio:

Don was exposed to the Gospel very early in life, having grown up with Christian parents on the mission field. When he was in second grade at a boarding school on the mission field, he finally recognized his need to be saved. Don attended Bob Jones University for one year and Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA, for three years where he received a B.A. in missions.

It was not until she was 19 years old that Sue first heard the Gospel. A year later, alone in her room while in her senior year of nursing school, she accepted Christ as her Savior. Sue is a registered nurse. She trained at Crouse Irving School of Nursing and also received a three-year diploma from BBC.

The Marshalls began their church planting ministry in the land of Mali , West Africa , in 1981. The Marshalls ' ministry in Mali of evangelism and discipleship took place within an antagonistic Islamic society. An obstacle to their ministry was that the people are fearful to make a commitment because it usually entails extreme persecution.

In the summer of 1991, the Marshalls left Mali due to unrest in that country and moved to France to begin a church planting ministry there. They are ministering in Chalons and the church they started there is now close to being able to support its own pastor. Once that happens, Don will take a secondary role at the church and be able to do outreach to other areas and begin satellite works.

Don also serves as the French field president for EBM, and has been the European Coordinator for EBM since 2006, which takes up about 40% of his time. As Coordinator he overseas the European fields for EBM and he and Sue oversea and minister to the needs of 18 couples and 2 single EBM missionaries in six countries. He also works with national missionary associations to see where it would be best to use new missionaries that come on the field.
