Josh & Kristen Gee - England

February 2010

Dear friends,

I know it's been awhile since you heard from us.  I've just been dropping the ball when it comes to getting things sent out.  I'm trying to get back on top of that.  So news from England is coming, but in the meantime, we could really use some extra prayer.

1) Please pray for a big project I've been struggling with.  I'm testing some new equipment that will hopefully be used in 3 or 4 of our ministry centers. I've been facing a lot of delays and difficulties with this project and can't currently see the end. This is just one building block of a much larger project that will eventually allow us to serve missionaries on the field more effectively.  But I've got to get this equipment situation resolved first. Lately it seems that the more effort I pour into this project, the further we get from a solution.  However, some new equipment arrived on my desk less than 10 minutes ago.  Please pray that I would be able to get it installed quickly and that it will resolve the issues I've been dealing with.

In the meantime our team must make a large number of planning decisions about the rest of this major infrastructure project.  We've received some new information recently, and it means that we need to make a significant number of decisions in a fairly short period of time. Pray that God would lead us even when we can't always see all of the potential outcomes of our planning.  We need a special measure of wisdom and guidance as we coordinate this project across 4 locations and far too many timezones.

2) Please Pray for Cassia, who has an MRI on Thursday, Feb 11. Doctors are checking for any complications before she has eye surgery to correct a severe bilateral (both eyes) "squint". The squint wasn't very noticable when she was younger, but in the last 6 to 9 months it has gotten fairly dramatic (she's growing like a weed, which explains why it's so much more noticable). Due to her age, she will have to undergo General Anesthesia for both the MRI and (later) for the surgery. Which is all a bit nerve-wracking for her parents. Thankfully the Bradford Hospital's Opthalmic deparment has a very good reputation.

Please pray that the MRI goes smoothly and is not too traumatic for Cassia.  Pray for peace for Kristen and I as we wait, and pray that there will be no complications to prevent the surgery.  Once the MRI has been examined, we will hopefully be given a date for her surgery.

3) Pray for wisdom as we begin to get involved in our local church.  The Lord appears to be opening doors, especially for Kristen, to begin to minister personally here in England.  Pray for wisdom to know exactly what we should (and shouldn't) commit to.  Our church has a large number of non-believers, new believers, and young believers in it (many, if not most, of them women), which opens many doors for ministry.  As we get to know the church leadership, they are quite eager to have us involved. We're thankful to have found a home church where we can be involved, but we can't do everything and need the Lord's direction to know which opportunities to pursue.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers, we really depend on them.

In Him,

Josh, Kristen, and Cassia
