Missionary Bio:
David heard the gospel at age 14 and was saved just after high school. Service opportunities in his church taught him the joy of serving Christ and he yielded his live for missions during college. He received a B.S. in elementary education from Wayne State University in Detroit , and also had one year of dental school.
Jeannie was raised in a missionary family in the Dominican Republic , and received Christ when a pastor's wife shared a gospel presentation while visiting them. Her years growing under her parents influence planted the desire in her heart for missions and she came stateside for college in 1976 burdened to be a missionary. She received a B.S. degree from Faith Baptist Bible College , and has also taken various art classes.
The Fergusons served as BMM missionaries with Campus Bible Fellowship from 1987 until 2002. Their ministry involved evangelism and discipleship on the secular campuses of Cleveland State and Cleveland Western Reserve University in Cleveland , Ohio . They worked closely with Cedar Hills Baptist Church as they tried to integrate the students into the local church.
In January, 2002, the Fergusons completed their ministry with CBF and Dave began a new ministry as Assistant to the President / Director of Special Projects for Baptist Mid-Missions. One of the first special projects he oversaw was Medals for Glory 2002 during the winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , Utah . Other projects Dave overseas includes Project Utah , a yearly event involving door-to-door outreach, and PlayBall!, an evangelistic outreach in the Dominican Republic through youth instructional baseball clinics, with the Gospel presentations as part of each session.
