Jim & Sharon Evans - Argentina- back - May 2009 Dear Friends, Acts 16:9 — The call of the Macedonian man was for Paul to "come over and help us". It seems that after so many years of missionary work, there would be less need than in Paul's time. However, it certainly is not what we experience as we hear the cry of our friends in ministry around the world. We can't let down our vigilance because circumstances are changing. God can still make it possible for us to fulfill His great commission! There is a multitude of young people in our third world churches who want to carry the message to the lost. God is at work, and the years of missionary investment is paying off. Sharon and I are always rejuvenated by the excitement of the vision and ministry in other countries. They need our help. Here are some things we can do!
Thank you for your prayers as we ministered in Argentina during Easter week. The 30th Anniversary of the church was an exciting event as we reviewed what God has done in the lives of people, saving and changing them. Also, remembering His faithfulness in building His church. Brenda and Brian, with his family, were impacted by their trip back after several years' absence. We all were blown away by the shower of affection from the Argentines. Three different families hosted us during our stay. Please pray for the church as they are making big plans for the next 30 years! One of the future projects is the building, or remodeling of a building (both options are open) for a new church plant in Campana, a branch work of Carapachay. We are looking to the Lord to provide another work team of builders to help in the construction of their building. If you are interested in joining us, please contact me by phone or e-mail. Would you be willing to spend the rest of your life in World Evangelism? "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few." Mt. 9:37. By His grace, Jim and Sharon Evans - back - |
